While it may be clear to you by now that social media marketing is vital for the growth of your business, you may still be wondering, “Okay, but how do I do this all?” We get it – creating digital marketing content that is consistent, engaging, and true to your brand can be challenging! Integrating different tools into your social media marketing can help!
Utilizing different social media apps and tools can not only make life in the social media marketing department a bit simpler but can also level up your digital marketing by providing high-quality and consistent content that couldn’t have been produced otherwise.
What are social media marketing tools?
Social media marketing tools are simply that – tools that can help your business with its social media marketing! Whether the tool is used to help you create content, schedule posts, automate email campaigns, or help you organize your marketing strategies, the goal of using different digital marketing tools is to automate, organize, and simply your social media to take one more thing off your plate.
My top 7 favorite tools for social media marketing
There are so many different digital marketing tools out there that can serve many different purposes in your business. It’s important to choose the right ones depending on your business needs – your social media goals, the amount of accounts you’re managing, your budget, what you’re trying to accomplish.
Here 7 of my most use social media marketing tools and how I utilize them to take my business to new heights:
1. Later
Later helps to automate the posting process. It will auto-publish your posts, provide hashtag suggestions, and even give you insight into the best times to post. Later also has options to add Linkin.bio which essentially makes your posts clickable, however, I prefer adding a hidden page on your website so that those clicks go to you and not a 3rd party.
2. Canva Pro
Canva is a great place to create your content – whether that’s social media posts, graphics for emails, or other marketing tools! I spend so much of my time in Canva creating. If you’re already using Canva to create content, investing in Canva Pro is well worth it for its advanced capabilities. Canva also has a built-in scheduler.
3. Trello
My brain and content ideas would be all sorts of disorganized if it wasn’t for Trello. Trello can be used in so many different ways – from having an organized place for brain dumps, sorting and tracking content ideas, keeping track of goals and visions, and so much more! I use Trello to make sure that my content is aligned with my business goals.
4. Flick
Flick is a hashtag generator and in my opinion, it’s essential! Flick helps you choose hashtags tailored toward your audience to make sure your content is being seen by the right people. I use Flick to make sure that the hashtags I am using are not banned and are not overused.
5. Flodesk
Email marketing should be a vital piece of your digital marketing strategy (see my previous blog on this). Flodesk is the place to grow your business through email! Flodesk allows you to create email templates, automate email sending, and ensure you’re getting high-quality emails out to subscribers consistently. Ultimately, you should be using social media to drive traffic to your email list and website.
6. Google Workplace
You’re probably pretty familiar with Google Suite now known as Google Workplace, and may even use it already. Google Workplace includes products like Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Meet. These tools help not only keep in contact with any and everyone (hello, Gmail), but allow you to stay organized and run smoothly. I use Google Sheets for content approval with some of my clients.
7. Slack
Slack is a great way to stay in contact with clients and team members! Collaboration is key in marketing! It allows you to have everyone in one space with an easy way to chat and document share while keeping things quick and saving you time to focus on all the other pieces of your business.
Don’t feel overwhelmed by all of the different tools out there! Decide what you really need help with when it comes to your social media marketing, and determine which tool will best serve you in meeting that need.
